Albany House Visit for June - 13th Jun 2018

Today Connell, Charlie, Jarvanee, Connor, Jake, and Kees visited the Albany House residents. The purpose of our visits to resthomes is to build relationships within the community. The tamariki in time build relationships with the residents and in turn the residents build relationships with the Akoranga tamariki. This is why the same group of tamariki are rotated each month. There are benefits for both young and old.

On this visit we spent some time creating art with the 'Grandmas and Grandads.' This is a relaxed way for both generations to interact together.  It is wonderful to see the growing confidence and relationships each visit.
